Mission
The purpose of the McEachern High School PTSA scholarship program is to acknowledge graduating seniors who seek to further their education, at a vocational/technical school or college/university. These financial gifts are intended to support and encourage these students on their journey to reach their academic and career goals.Who is Eligible?
A graduating McEachern High School senior who: Is a current member of McEachern High School PTSA.- Has a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
- Will attend a vocational/technical school or college/university during the upcoming school year.
Requirements
Eligible students must submit:- A completed McEachern PTSA Scholarship application.
- Current 18-week Progress Report containing cumulative G.P.A.
- Proof of current McEachern PTSA membership (membership number or copy of membership card).
- Completed Membership Form and Dues payment may be submitted with scholarship packet.
- A complete essay on the assigned topic; not to exceed two (2) pages (see scholarship application).
- A recommendation letter from a McEachern teacher or guidance counselor and a character reference letter from an adult who is not a family member.
Important Reminders
Scholarship packets are to be delivered to the PTSA mailbox in Russell Hall by April 3, 2015. Incomplete and/or late scholarship packets will not be considered. Scholarship applications will be reviewed by the PTSA Scholarship Committee.Scholarship recipients will be notified prior to Senior Honors Night. Scholarship checks will be made payable to the student and the school or institution upon receipt of enrollment verification by McEachern PTSA.
